aahhhh. freedom.
think about it! we've been gestating this opera for TEN MONTHS. that's SO LONG. and it's over, it went well, all of the anxiety surrounding it is totally vanished, because it's god damned over. oh man! though the experience as a whole may have been slightly lacking, i will say that there were really fun parts and i've gleaned a really important relationship from it. and what a great opportunity, can't forget that biz.
BUT.
i love tea, and i love blankets, and yoga and reading.......life post opera is grand. i'll have time for ALL of these things!!! i'm going to a friend's yummy vegan dinner party tomorrow night! and i wouldn't have been able to go last week. the opera really made me miss out on a lot of things just because of the monstrous rehearsal schedule. sucky. a reality, but still sucky. YUM vegan dinner with wine and friends. oh my GOD. the OPERA. it's OVER.
i've been running around the house all night having quality justine time. which really just equals me acting like as much of a six year old girl as i want to and like, skipping around my apartment wearing long underwear and dancing around to belle and sebastian, drinking tea, reading short stories, and now, blogging. oh man. what a life! dude, i can't wait to tell my therapist about how happy i am.
i've realized the next piece of furniture that will complete my existence (gosh, i'm a dramatic consumer) - and end table next to the white chair in my living room. i'm sitting in the chair right now, and i FORGOT how comfortable and wonderful it is. i would sit in it more if i didn't throw shit all over it all the time. but ALSO - i would sit in it more if i had a little end table next to it so i could put like, a book or a computer there. and maybe a cozy little lamp.
ahh. ahhhhh. and spring break is deliciously soon...just....four....days..........jazzercise and hanging out in kzoo and seeing movies and going to arthop! how nice and fuzzy i feel. let's embrace this.
